Dr. Stewart, D.M.D.
Dr. Stewart is originally from Dallas, Texas. He attended Southern Methodist University. There, he received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biology in 1993. In addition, he was the place-kicker for the Mustangs and was awarded Kodak All-American in his last year.From college, he went to Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1998 with his dental degree. His interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery led him back to Dallas for residency. He completed specialty training at University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital in 2004. During this time, he received a medical degree from UT-Southwestern Medical School in 2002.
This experience at Parkland was extensive, providing a firm foundation to practice full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He and his partners are the sole providers of facial trauma to Southern Vermont and North Adams Regional Hospital in the Berkshires. Besides the traditional oral surgery of extractions, he has a special interest in creating and supporting beautiful smiles with dental implants. For his work in implantology, he has been selected as a Fellow into the International Team of Implantology.
He and his partners lecture and provide continuing education seminars in Vermont and the Berkshires on implants and other dental subjects. As the Northeast Committee Member on Project 31, he has organized multiple free dental days in both Southern Vermont and the Berkshires of Massachusetts. This has been wonderful for the team at OSA to come together and grow stronger as a group while giving back to this great community.
While not at work, he loves to play golf with his friends and three boys. He met his wife while in dental school, therefore, they try to go to Boston as much as possible.
